You can't take the sky from me
The people who have made Done The Impossible, a fan documentary on the rise of Serenity from the ashes of Firefly, have released a Creative Commons torrent so you can freely download it. It's mainly fan talking to fan but there are a few interesting bits but I have to warn you it does contain Filk.
It's real!
When I was a kid I used to love watching the wrestling... the old-school proper wrestling with overweight, sweaty, middle-aged men like Big Daddy, Giant Haystacks and Kendo Nagasaki grappling in the ring. My greatest disillusion when growing up was the slow realisation that it was, well... not exactly, a hundred percent, real. Still some of those guys were pretty strong and athletic and I would not call it fake to their face. Unlike this bloke.
And some people still believe

Rich people at play
Well, it's slightly comforting that even people with a gazillion dollars - in this case, Steve 'The Woz' Wozniak, of Apple Computers fame - can still make total arses of themselves: playing Segway Polo.
All right, doing this, say after a boozy barbecue or something, in your no-doubt-huge-acreage that is your back garden, might just be acceptable. But in public? In uniforms? Oh, please say it's for charity... Spot the 'whack the ball at some passing stranger' and 'intensely nerdy rule changes' moments.
You have failed me for the last time...
There's a ton of the Star Wars spoof gunk about but this has a touch of genius to it... Chad Vader - Day Shift Manager.
Plus there is 75 Things We Love and Hate about Star Wars.
Of course the 'Things We Hate' are a lot more entertaining...
Strike one: "Princess Leia, with the Death Star plans, was sent to retrieve Obi-Wan Kenobi to bring him to Alderaan. What was he going to do once he got there?"
Strike two: "How well-hidden was Luke Skywalker really? He was at Darth Vader’s half brothers’ house on Darth’s home planet. Nobody bothered to change Luke’s last name. Neither did Obi-Wan."
Strike three: "Did no one in the Rebel Alliance think to back up the Death Star plans? Is it really plausible that there was only one copy?"
You're out!

Byrne bashing
My mate, Floyd Kermode, has written an article on comic artist John Byrne… Now I’ve met a few pro writers and artists and the vast majority are fantastic people - patient, modest and friendly. However a small minority are well, to be charitable, not. I think on the evidence (and I’ve been to the site - just don't go, there lies madness) Byrne is in the latter case.
Shorts
Amazingly YouTunes isn't all people mining to crap pop songs. There’s some fantastic stuff buried there like
the Oscar winning short film Balance, which I recently stumbled over.
I then hunted down the underground classic Bambi Meets Godzilla that I’ve been wanted to see for years.
It’s just a pity about the spoiling comments. Try to ignore them if you’ve not heard of the latter.
Metal bikini-tastic
Just when you when you think you’ve seen everything on the web along comes The Cult of Leia's Bikini, unbelievable. I'll just be off to study those pictures in detail... just to check just how nerdy this all is, of course.

So That's another series of Dr Who finished.
"No, it's not bad, but it's not great either. And in your heart you kind of know that although it sounds all right, it's actually just shite."
More on that later...
Laugh until you choke
Some links that made me laugh so hard I thought I was going to die from a asthma attack.
I suppose Star Wars fans fans are easy targets but I’ve never seen it so cruel, and funny.
I can’t remember Whose Line Is It Anyway? ever being this hilarious?
How to loose your cool on television.
