Atmosphere, Twice
The comedian Stewart Lee once said he wants Atmosphere by New Order,
followed by Atmosphere by Russ Abbot at his funeral.
Or maybe it was the other way around...
Of course the Joy Division version is a stone cold classic - though the video looks a bit silly now... some of those blokes in robes have a definite whiff of Jawa to them. But I can't help but like Russ's version. There's a lovely bit of business with a nod and a wink at the beginning. And that's a smart top he's got on. Actually there's some great examples of 80s fashion in that vid... I'm not going to convince you am I?
